If you can say anything about the Sprint Cup race at Texas, it would be boring. When one or two drivers "stink up the show," the race is boring, boring, boring.
The beginning was interesting. Jimmie Johnson wrecked the 48 car and needed a mad dash repair. With over one hundred laps down, the 48 team fixed their car to try to gain points. Kurt Busch won the race, Jimmie Johnson still leads the war, but by 73 points over teammate Mark Martin. Johnson finished 38th in the race. Kyle Busch finished 13th after his fuel problem.
All three NASCAR series raced at Texas, and that's where it gets boring. A Busch wins all three races, with Kyle Busch winning the Truck Series and the Nationwide Series. Kurt Busch stole the show in the Sprint Cup Series when his brother ran out of gas.
Problem! Kyle Busch runs in the Camping World Truck Series when he can. He doesn't need to rough up the points leader, almost sending Ron Hornaday into a spin. NASCAR likes to preach to non-chase drivers to give the Chase Contenders some room, like what happened to Brad Keselowski at Talladega, yet they do nothing to Kyle Busch when he does stupid driving in the Truck Series. I'm tired of Sprint Cup drivers having a field day in the lower series. Maybe that's why the television ratings are down for the Nationwide and Truck Series.
I also can't believe that anything Gibbs Toyota is stinking up the show in the Nationwide or Truck Series. Ya; the 51 must run Gibbs Toyotas.
The Sprint Cup standings Top 5 now look like this;
Jimmie Johnson leader
Mark Martin -73
Jeff Gordon -112
Kurt Busch -171
Tony Stewart -178
Kurt Busch gained two positions with his win at Texas. Juan Montoya lost two positions. The top 3 remained the same.
Finally; Carl Edwards also complained about this car. He crashed because he was alongside of Juan Montoya, with Montoya loosing it. This car needs some changes soon. It's not fine NASCAR.
