Democrats in House Pass Healthcare Reform

In a Late Saturday night vote, like Secret Squirrel, The US House Democrats and one Republican passed another Healthcare Reform Bill; HR 3962. The bill needed 218 voted to pass. The final tally was 220 to 215. The 215 votes against were Republicans and 39 Democrats. Earlier in the day, President Barack Obama went personally to Capital Hill to talk with House Democrats in a "arm twisting type talk."

Now the Senate will take over. This vote may not be as rosy as Pilosi's House was. In fact, Sen Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV hasn't even scheduled the Bill for debate yet. Sen Lindsey Graham, R-SC has said "The House bill is dead on arrival in the Senate." Sen Joe Lieberman, I-Conn said about the plan if the public option is considered that "as a matter of consequence, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote."

So what will the people think of this. Many are against the bill, especially if the public option is any part of it. Anything the Government runs tends to cost way too much and is often in the red. Just because a Democrat was elected to Congress last week in New York's 23rd District, doesn't mean that Democrats will be re-elected next year. All Massachusetts Democrats voted in favor of this bill. I certainly hope people will remember that when next November rolls around.

I certainly won't vote for my Congressman next year. Maybe we can have a whole new House of Representatives. I'd like to see California and Nevada join in the cleaning process.
