Do you think your Congressman listened to your concerns about the health care reform?
I don't think they did! Otherwise, that bill Congress passed late Saturday night shouldn't of passed. According to various polls down recently, most Americans oppose some part or all of the latest Health Care Reform Bill in the House. How many oppose? Well!
According to USA Today website, The AP Poll results showed 43% oppose the bill in some way, and 41% approve of it. The Washington Post poll is similar; 49% oppose, and 48% approve. The AP Poll seems to have a large undecided.
I am upset that these elected officials seem to be going ahead against the wishes of the voters and voting a Health Care Bill that is too large and too costly. We all want everyone to have healthcare, but not like this.
Why can't we start small; less pages in the bill? Start off with just providing healthcare for those that want it, but can't get it. These people could be on the so-called "public option," but run by the professionals in the insurance field. The US Government shouldn't run healthcare. Add a clause about the no person refused because of pre-existing condition. Leave the people with healthcare alone and don't offer to businesses, offer to individuals.
If these monsterous bill passes, we need to vote these dinosaurs out. Getting getting too powerful for anyone to handle. Here in Massachusetts, I hope this mostly Democratic state looks at Scott Brown to fill the vacant US Senate seat of the late Sen Ted Kennedy. Massachusetts can make a difference by voting Republican.
